Our top tips for improving your wellness

There are hundreds of things we can do to help improve our wellness to help us live fulfiling, healthy and happy lives, however here are a few we practice regularly at YANA HQ that we find help our wellness.

1. Try to start each day with a positive attitude and open mindset

Mindfulness is a great way for you to become more aware of your surroundings and thoughts. Once you're aware, you can often look at problems in a different way or with an open mind, to help you resolve a problem and live more positively. This can sometimes be easier said than done, but with practice over time you will start to see the positive impact on your mood.

3. Spend time with people who are good for you

As the saying goes ”you're the average of the five people spend the most time with".

If you surround yourself with 5 negative people, you'll be the 6th. Surround yourself with positive, happy, supportive people and you'll automatically feel uplifted and happier.

4. Sleep

Sleep is a time when your body and mind recharges, allowing you to feel refreshed when you wake up. A lack of sleep can lead to lower productivity and leave you feeling depressed. Try to get a good night's sleep by making your bedroom inviting and relaxing to help you drift off into a peaceful sleep.

5. Eat well

Try to eat healthy, nutritious foods and lots of water, aiming for a balanced diet to fuel your body and mind with all the necessary nutrients and minerals to allow it to function properly.

Some of the above may seem obvious to some people but also overwhelming to others. If wellness is a new concept to you, try to incorporate one or two of these steps into your lifestyle at first and see how they impact you. Once you become more comfortable with the concept of wellness, these actions will become easier to incorporate into your daily activities.
